TOWN OF PORT DEPOSIT

NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE

GRANITE AVENUE

 

The Town of Port Deposit announces the temporary closure of Granite Avenue for a sewer line repair on Wednesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

The closure will affect Granite Avenue from the intersection with Race Street to the transition to Rock Run Road.  During this period, access to Granite Avenue will be restricted to school buses, emergency vehicles and residents.  The Cecil County Department of Public Works will be on site to make the repairs to the sewer line.  Road closure and detour information if posted on the County website at: 638436882177470000 (ccgov.org) .   

 

Detour routes will be clearly marked to redirect traffic, ensuring minimal disruption to local businesses and residents. The Town of Port Deposit recognizes the inconvenience this closure may cause and appreciates the patience and cooperation of the community during this period.

 

The Town of Port Deposit advises all motorists and pedestrians to follow posted detour signs and exercise caution in the vicinity of the construction area.  For further information and updates on the Granite Avenue closure, residents and businesses may contact Town Hall at 410.378.2121.
