The Town of Port Deposit is looking for volunteers to help staff the Visitor Center on Saturdays and Sundays from June through August, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Volunteers will welcome visitors and share information about Port Deposit, including its history, local attractions, community initiatives, and our Town Ambassadors.
This is a great opportunity to support the community and help others learn more about Port Deposit.

The Town of Port Deposit is looking for volunteers to serve on the following boards/commissions:
1 Alternate; 3-year term
The Board of Appeals meets as needed to hear applications for a variance or special exceptions, an appeal of an order, decision, requirement, or interpretation of the Zoning Ordinance made by the Zoning Inspector, Planning Commission, Historic Area Commission or Town Administrator. Must be a Town resident.
Board of Supervisors of Election
2 Alternates; 4-year term
The Board of Supervisors of Elections meets when necessary to supervise the registration of voters, nomination procedures and Town elections. Member must be a qualified voter and shall not hold or be candidates for any elected office. Must be a Town resident.
1 Member, 1 Alternate; 3-year term
The Planning Commission meets monthly to hear and decide applications for land development and approve subdivision plats and site development plans. Meetings are scheduled for the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, but may be cancelled if no business to discuss. Must be a Town resident.
Requirements to serve:

Town resident for at least 1 year - unless otherwise noted.

Does not serve on another board, commission, or committee.

Does not have an immediate family member serving on Town Council or another board, commission, or committee.

A few hours per month to serve your community.
