PUBLIC PARK UPDATE
Port Deposit, MD – Mayor Wayne L. Tome, Sr. declared a local State of Emergency for the Town of Port on March 6, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the Town of Port Deposit closed all park facilities on March 30, 2020 to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
Effective Saturday, May 9, 2020, the Marina Park boat launch will be re-opened. Be advised that the promenade is available for pedestrians; however the pavilion and playground remain closed at this time. Other parks within town limits shall remain closed as well.
When entering Marina Park, please use extreme caution and observe all signs because there is an active construction area for the new wastewater treatment plant.
The Town greatly appreciates the cooperation from our community and visitors to continue following social-distancing guidelines as mandated by the State of Maryland.
